Chef's Biography

Chef Michael Patrick, Chef of Rizzos Diner downtown got his start in cooking in Cleveland at a kitchen called Quail Hollow. From there he worked in several kitchens in the Memphis area including McEwen’s and EP Delta Kitchen and finally went on to open up his own restaurant Rizzos Diner on GE Patterson. His advice for the cooking novice is to be adventurous, think outside the box and don’t be afraid to experiment.

Geri Garcia is the Sushi Chef at Bangkok Alley in downtown Memphis. She learned to make sushi hands-on in the kitchen and learned from other sushi chefs their techniques to develop her own style of sushi. She loves to teach and share her knowledge with others.  Her advice to the cooking novice, "master the basics first then the rest will follow.”

Reneise Ross started cooking at a young age with her grandmother in their kitchen. After quickly realizing cooking was her passion she attended Culinary Arts School and graduated in 2008. Since then she has worked and continues to work as a personal chef with a variety of celebrities and NBA players. She loves to share her passion with others and looks forward to sharing her techniques and knowledge with her students.

Chef Joselly has been cooking since he can remember. With a mother that's a chef, he started baking with his mother and uncle at a very young age. He started his career as a server and quickly rose to a supervisory position. He then entered the kitchen and never left. Joselly has studied and worked under 8 chefs learning skills and technique in Italian and Health Living Cuisine. He loves to cook and looks forward to sharing his passion for it with his students.
